Harshani's father is a casual labourer and her mother is a house wife. She has a sister studying G.C.E. (Advance level), who holds a scholarship. Harshani’s family is living in a rented out "shack" which they find very difficult to pay for. There is no electricity source to the house and therefore Harshani must open her bedroom window to get light to study from an outside source. |
